SILENI THE PLATEAU PINOT NOIR 2017

Sileni Estates was born to Mr. Graeme Avery on his long-standing interest in wine. In late 1997, he founded Sileni Estates with CFO Chris Cowper and winemaker Grant Edmonds. The winery is named after Silen, who appeared in Roman mythology along with Bacchus, the god of wine. Good wine, good food and good company were celebrated. Pinot Noir vineyards are located in New Zealand's Hawke's Bay, near Hastings on the North Island. Silen Winery produces wines in New Zealand's North and South Island, Hawke's Bay and Marlborough region. The total length of the two islands is 1500 km and max. 200km wide (Northland 36° LL, Central Otago 46° LL), in 1973 the Marlborough area was introduced, which is today the largest and most important wine region in New Zealand (23,452ha), accounting for 75% of the total volume of wine production in New Zealand. The wine selection of the Silen winery includes Single Vineyard wines "The Straits" Sauvignon Blanc and "The Plateau" Pinot Noir, as well as the Cellar Selection wine series - Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir
