Barbera is the third most popular red grape variety in Italy. The local owners of small vineyards in the northwestern part of Piedmont work hand in hand with the Ricossa winemaker to get the ripest possible harvest from the field. Barbera is dark red in color, the wine ring has a purple sheen. Barbera has a natural strong acidity and a milder combination of tannins. The taste is pleasantly surprised by the intense fruitiness. Raspberry, field berry and sour cherry provide a good background for the acid that permeates the wine. All in a nice balance. Contains sulfites.
