Villa Maria has used only berries from the Taylors Pass Vineyard to make this wine. Taylors Pass vineyard is located on the north bank of the Awatere River in southern Marlborough. The average age of the vines is 12 to 17 years. Fresh peas, blackcurrants and herbs meet in the aroma of the wine. The taste is concentrated, you can feel jalapeno and grapefruit, finally the zest of lime and a hint of gunpowder.
