Reserva grapes come from vineyards in the province of Burgos that were planted more than 50 years ago. The berries were picked by hand, followed by cold maceration and later fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats. The wine matured for 18 months in American and French oak barrels, of which 50% were new French oak barrels, 30% were 1-year-old French oak barrels, and 20% were 2-year-old American oak barrels. Later, the wine matured in the bottle for 24 months before going on sale. The aroma of the wine is intense, the tone is given by dark berries, light roast, vanilla, spices, mineral and balsamic notes. The taste has a good balance between fruitiness and oaky notes. The aftertaste is long and harmonious.
