Protos ’27 is a tribute to the 11 visionaries who founded Protos in 1927. The grapes come from vineyards in the province of Burgos that were planted more than 50 years ago. The wine matured for 16 months in French oak barrels. Later, the wine matured in bottles for another 12 months before going on sale. The aroma of the wine is elegant, with notes of ripe dark berries, sweet spices and subtle toasty notes. A very well-balanced wine that is easy to drink, with rounded tannins and a long aftertaste.
