Villa Maria has used only berries from the Seddon Vineyard to make this wine. Seddon Vineyard is located on the south bank of the River Awatere. The unique weather conditions there contribute to the fact that the grapes ripen perfectly. The wine matures for 16 months in French oak barrels to achieve the perfect balance. 30% of the barrels are new. The wine has an intriguing, concentrated and complex Pinot Noir that also shows its purity and subtle power. The seductive aroma features ripe cherries, red berries, dark plums and an alluring floral aroma. The taste is concentrated and you can feel several layers of fruit. A wine with a silky texture and fine tannins, with a persistent and clean finish.
