The aftertaste is complemented by silky, moderate berry tannins. The grapes are picked from various vineyards in Utiel-Requena, the wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and does not develop in oak barrels. Founded in 1893 by the Swiss blacksmith Charles Schenk. His son Arnold founded one of the first international wine businesses, buying and building wineries in different countries: Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain. Bodegas Murviedro is one of those originally founded in Spain in 1927 under the name Schenk España. In 2002, the winery was modernized, renamed Bodegas Murviedro, and is today one of the best-known and largest wineries in DO Valencia / Utiel-Requena / Alicante.
