The wine is made mainly from the Verdejo grape, with the addition of Malvasia Castellana and smaller amounts of Godello, Albillo, Palomino and Viura. The grapes come from the D.O. From the Toro region, where Verdejo grows on 10-20 year old vines, while Malvasia Castellana grows on very old vines, 50-150 years old. Verdejo is fermented in concrete tanks and stored on lees, which gives the wine extra texture and depth. Malvasia Castellana and other varieties are aged in large French oak barrels, adding complexity and structure to the wine. The result is a fresh, aromatic and expressive wine with good balance and pleasant depth. Contains sulfites.
