Marqués de Riscal owns 220 hectares of vineyards in the Rueda area with an average age of 25 years. Verdejo, the native grape of the region, is grown there, which perfectly adapts to the extreme climatic conditions of Rueda and gives the wine its characteristic freshness and elegance. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine is stored for 1-2 months in stainless steel tanks with lees, which are stirred once a week with nitrogen (bâtonnage) to give the wine a richer structure. The wine is usually bottled between January and March of the following year. In terms of color, the wine has a bright yellow straw tone and a greenish sheen. The aroma has nuances of fennel, white flowers, anise and fresh grass - a high aromatic characteristic of the Verdejo variety. The taste is smooth and fresh, with balanced acidity and a long and pleasant aftertaste. Contains sulfites.
