Marqués de Riscal brought Sauvignon Blanc to the Rueda region in 1974. Today, the winery has over 70 hectares of plantations, where the average age of the vines exceeds 25 years. Since 2018, all plantations have been certified organic. The wine is made with minimal intervention to bring out the pure character of the grape and the specifics of the terroir. After cold maceration and clarification of the juice, slow fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, which preserves the distinctive aroma of Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is then left to settle on fine sediments (the lees), which adds body and increases aging potential. The sulfite content is kept below 50% of the maximum allowed for organic wines, emphasizing the variety's pure aromas and environmentally friendly production. The color of the wine is pale straw yellow with a greenish sheen. The aroma reveals fresh grassiness, citrus, pineapple and melon, complemented by a mineral background. On the palate, the wine is aromatic, with fresh and lively acidity, with a long and clean aftertaste. Contains sulfites.
