Nowadays, the winery is run by Michel Chapoutier and the wines achieve well-deserved accolades from wine critics. The history of the Michel Chapoutier winery begins in 1897. if Mr. Marius Chapoutier joined the business with his business partner Rodolfo Delephiné, and in 1922 the company became the property of the Chapoutier family. In 1990 Mr. Michel Chapoutier took over the management of the company and his vision was to make wines organically and biodynamically. Today, Michel Chapoutier is a great example for wineries in favor of biodynamic winemaking. The wines achieve very high ratings from recognized wine critics. Michel Chapoutier's wine selection includes the world-famous Hermitage wines L'Ermit, Le Pavillon, Le Mèal from the Syrah berry variety, as well as the elegant Hermitage white wine "Chante-Alouette". The wines have great cellar potential and are in significant demand among wine collector friends. Wines are also produced in the Southern Rhone in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Tavel, Luberon, Saint-Peray.
