The history of Zenato begins in 1960, when Sergio Zenato started winemaking in the village of San Benedetto di Lugana, on the southern shore of Lake Garda. Over time, Zenato's activities expanded to Veneto, the Valpolicella area, where the Costalunga estate in the Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella area was acquired. Today, Sergio's children, Alberto and Nadia, manage the work of the winery, having expanded the berry plantations to 95 hectares, including 4ha in Tuscany, in the Bolgheri region, and exporting wine to 65 countries.
