Lugana Fabio Contato is named after the eldest son of Walter Contato, the founder of Cà Maioli. This is one of Ca Maioli's top class wines. The grapes are picked by hand from the oldest vines. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for over a year and then in bottles for six months. The wine is produced in limited quantities. The color of the wine is straw yellow with golden tones. An excellent aroma bouquet in which cedar, honeydew melon, slightly spicy cumin and nuances of ginger come to the fore. The palate is fresh, with salty notes bringing out yellow-fleshed fruits with sweet spices. The wine goes perfectly with rabbit, lamb or foie gras.
