Grown on the wild west coast of South Africa, Fryer's Cove Sauvignon Blanc perfectly reflects the influence of the cool Atlantic climate. Strong sea winds, dense ocean mists and granite soils create ideal conditions for the birth of fresh and expressive Sauvignon Blanc. The constant cold sea breeze, fog and salty humidity deposit about 50 kg of sea salt on the grapes every year, which gives the wine a mineral, salty note. The grapes are picked during the cool hours of the night and early morning to preserve maximum freshness and fruitiness. After fermentation at a controlled temperature, the wine is aged on lees, which gives it additional texture and a fuller mouthfeel. The aroma reveals notes of guava, papaya, green fig and lime. The palate is lively and fresh, offering nuances of citrus fruits and a pleasant marine saltiness and minerality. Contains sulfites.
