The grapes - 96% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) and 4% Merlot - come from high altitude vineyards with clay-sandy soil rich in minerals. The wine is made using low temperature maceration to preserve fruitiness and liveliness. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks, which helps preserve the aroma of the berries. Tempranillo adds licorice nuances, while Merlot gives the wine a softer tannin. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the same tanks, followed by separation from the lees. The wine is aged for three months in 225 liter oak barrels, which adds depth, complexity and roundness. The wine has a deep cherry red color with violet shades. The aroma has red and black forest berries and a delicate spiciness that comes from aging in oak barrels. The character of the wine is fresh, medium-bodied and lively acidity. On the palate, the wine is silky, aromatic and long-lasting, offering a harmonious balance between fruitiness and oak. Contains sulfites.
