“Les Champs Traversins” is a vineyard on a steep slope, the soil of which consists mainly of sand and gravel, which gives rise to wines with a strong character and elegance. From the versatility of the aroma, it is possible to recognize red berries, juicy summer fruits and spicy notes. A round and balanced taste palette, with a harmonious structure and recognizable wooden additions. The aftertaste is long, with a slight hint of chocolate. The first references to the establishment of the Bichot family in Burgundy date back to 1350. Wine began to be produced in the first half of the 19th century, when the first winery was located in Monthélie, a few kilometers from Beaune. The winery has been passed down from father to son for 6 generations, until today. By now, Albert Bichot owns vineyards all over Burgundy, from a number of highly recognized vineyards with a dignified history.
