The "cadet" or "little brother" of Baron Philippe de Rothschild's most famous wine, Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1er Grand Cru, one of the five iconic wine houses of Bordeaux (and the world), created in the early 1930s. More than 80 years later, the Rothschild family is re-introducing this wine, a replica of the original version, to honor the oldest Boredaux wine brand, Mouton Cadet. Vintage Edition is a wine classic and a breath of history. An elegant aroma dominated by red berries and sweet spices. A little hint of blackcurrant. Soft but powerful fruit flavors are followed by powerful tannins. The aftertaste is typical Medoc, which only intensifies as the wine matures.
