Crianza grapes come from Burgos and Valladolid vineyards planted 30-35 years ago. The berries were picked by hand, followed by cold maceration and later fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats. The wine matured for 14 months in American and French oak barrels, of which 33% were new French oak barrels, 34% were 1-year-old American and French oak barrels, and 33% were 2-year-old American and French oak barrels. Later, the wine matured in the bottle for 12 months before going on sale. The aroma of the wine is intense, the tone is set by ripe berries, woody notes, sweet spices and a pleasantly toasty note. The taste is well balanced, elegant and pleasantly ripe. Ripe berries can be felt in the aftertaste.
