The history of the winery begins in 1835, when Charles Audibert and Philippe Delas bought the business of a wine merchant called Maison Junique in Tournon-sur-Rhône and began selling Rhône wine under the name "Audibert et Delas". In 1924, Philippe's sons, Henri and Florentin, took over the business, renamed the company Delas Fréres and bought the first vineyards in the Chateauneuf du Pape and Hermitage areas and started making their own wine in addition to selling wine. In 1977, the famous Champagne Deutz champagne house was merged. Today, in addition to Hermitage and Chateauneuf du Pape, it owns private vineyards in Cote Rotie, Gigondas, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas and Coindreu and is known for its single-vineyard wines.
