
The winery belongs to the Lagardère family together with the neighboring estate Château Negrit and the small estate Château Tour-Mallet in the Pomerol region. Vineyards 16.5ha on lime-clay soil, average age of vines 35 years, tied by Guyot method. Deep dark red in color. The aroma is subtle, full-bodied complex and ripe berry. Ripe dark berries, dark stone fruits, black currants, leather, sweet spices and cinnamon can be felt. Cedar smoke and leather are added to the end of the aroma. The taste is full and mineral-berry-ripe. You can feel soft oak and berry tannins with overripe dark berries, bitter chocolate and dried black plums. The aftertaste is long and dried berry-full. The grapes are picked by hand, the wine is fermented in concrete barrels. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 25% are new barrels.
