The berries are picked from various Rioja vineyards, the wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and matures for 6 months in small American oak barrels. Bodegas Campo Viejo is one of the most famous wineries in the Rioja region today, founded in 1959 by the initiative of two Rioja winemakers, and its name refers to the old field: "campo viejo" - "old field". In 2001, the wine cellar was renovated and modern winemaking technologies were introduced.
