The taste is medium-bodied and slightly berry-spicy, reflecting the aroma of the wine. Feel dark overripe wild berries, wild berries and dark stone fruits. Baker's spices with cocoa and roasted coffee beans add to the medium length aftertaste. The berries are picked from different Rioja vineyards, the wine is fermented in stainless steel barrels and matures for 18 months in small French and American oak barrels and matures for 18 months in the bottle. Bodegas Campo Viejo is one of the most well-known wineries in the Rioja region today, founded in 1959 on the initiative of two Rioja winemakers, and its name refers to the old field: "campo viejo" - "old field". In 2001, the wine cellar was renovated and modern winemaking technologies were introduced. Bodegas Campo Viejo owns 54ha of vineyards in the Rioja region and cooperates with many Spanish grape growers.
