The wine is named after a bird that lives in the famous Cognac region. LUI was made using 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Corvina grapes, 50% of which were partially dried. The grapes come from the Mai Dire Mai vineyard and the average age of the vines is 40 years. The wine matured for at least 24 months in French oak barrels. An average 10-year-old Hennessy sight was used for the barrels. LUI is the first and only Italian wine that has been finished in old cognac casks. An elegant and innovative wine with soft and velvety tannins.
