Castello Banfi winery was established in 1978. Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino by John and Harry Mariani. The first vintage of Banfi Cum Laude was produced in 1999 and the wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon 30%, Merlot 30%, Sangiovese 25% and Syrah 15%.
