The share of Mizunara casks among old whiskeys in Japan is only 10%. This tree needs 200 to 300 years to grow and gives whiskey a special aroma. Mizunara oak brings out the honeyed oakiness and gives an elegant aftertaste. The whiskey uses meltwater from Daisen Mountain. The barrel aging is in Tottori Prefecture, where the influence of nature is strong and the temperature variation between seasons is large (the share of angels corresponds to 3% evaporation in the barrel).
