The Kurayoshi is a 12 year old whiskey produced by the Kurayoshi Distillery in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. The malt whiskeys are sourced from various Scottish whiskey houses, which are transported to Japan and then blended with Japanese-produced whiskey and diluted with volcanic rock-filtered water. The whiskey matured for over 12 years in used bourbon casks. The aroma has orange peel, lemongrass and hints of rye bread dough. Aromatic barley and floral notes set the tone on the palate, with hints of apple and white grapes. Lime, ginger and smokiness set the tone in the aftertaste.
