Sherry Cask 'The Bodega' is a stunning new addition to the Arran whiskey range. A great choice for those looking for a flavorful single malt whisky. Luxurious, elegant and multi-layered. Matured approximately 8 years in new sherry "Hogshead" casks. Arran is an island in the Gulf of Clyde in the Irish Sea, on the west side of Scotland. On this island, in 1994, Harold Currie decided to set up a whiskey factory with his business partners. Why Arran? – proven to be one of the cleanest waters in the whole of Scotland, a unique climate and colorful distilling throughout the island. In the beautiful village of Lochranza, located in the northern part of the island, the first whiskey was served in 1998 when Ewan McGregor baptized the first "Single Malt Whiskey" from this factory. "Arran Distilleries" uses 100% "Laurette" malt which is dried with hot air. We are one of the few single malt whiskeys that are completely smoke-free. The courage to experiment with different views has made our whiskey one of the best Scotch whiskeys in the world in the eyes of critics.
