Founded in 1893 by Swiss blacksmith Charles Schenk. His son Arnold founded one of the first international wine businesses, buying and building wineries in different countries: Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain. Bodegas Murviedro is one of those that was originally founded in Spain in 1927 under the name Schenk España.. In 2002 the winery was modernized, renamed Bodegas Murviedro and today is one of the best known and largest wineries in DO Valencia / Utiel-Requena / Alicante. The color is light yellow with a greenish undertone. The aroma is citrusy, fruity, creamy and slightly floral. Smell ripe apples and light stone fruits, ripe citrus, quince, white pepper and grapefruit. Some bitter citrus fruits and lemon peel are added to the end of the aroma. The taste is dry and light, fruity and citrusy. Feel ripe yellow fruits, melon, bitter citrus with fresh herbs. The aftertaste is uniformly fruity and herbal with a citrus undertone. The grapes are grown according to the principles of organic farming and harvested from limestone fields on the Mediterranean coast at 250 - 1000m above sea level. The wine is fermented in an oak barrel and develops on yeast for 2-3 months after the end of fermentation.
