Founded in 1893 by Swiss blacksmith Charles Schenk. His son Arnold founded one of the first international wine businesses, buying and building wineries in different countries: Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain. Bodegas Murviedro is one of those originally founded in Spain in 1927 under the name Schenk España. In 2002, the winery was modernized, renamed Bodegas Murviedro, and is today one of the best-known and largest wineries in DO Valencia / Utiel-Requena / Alicante. The color is dark red with a violet undertone. Ripe black berries, overripe field berries, some soft herbs and black pepper in the aroma. The taste is full of berries, you can feel blueberries, field berry jam, dark overripe stone fruits with a velvety spiciness dominated by black pepper, Aftertaste balanced tannic, spicy ripe, berry-parky.
