Gonzalez Byass La Copa Vermouth Extra Seco 75cl
The original recipe for La Copa vermouth dates back to the early 1900s. However, the La Copa brand itself dates back to 1886, i.e. one of Gonzalez Byass' products with a longer history. Instead of the usual simple white wine, the base wine here is fino sherry, which has accumulated flavors and aromas for more than 4 years under the natural living yeast flor. Hence the difference, the uniqueness. A classic, not so sweet (extra seco) but a double pleasure, a concoction of ripe citrus fruits, a bitter-salty mixture of peppermint and spices, accompanied by an aftertaste of wine balsamic. Contains sulfites.

Gonzalez Byass La Copa Vermouth 75cl
The original recipe for La Copa vermouth dates back to the early 1900s. However, the La Copa brand itself dates back to 1886, i.e. one of Gonzalez Byass' products with a longer history. Instead of the usual plain wine, the base wine here is Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry, which has matured in barrels for more than 8 years using the Solera method. And that's where the magic lies. Among the added spices, blood orange peel, cinnamon, cloves, pepper and nutmeg take center stage. The result was a boiling elixir veiled with bitter-sweet spices. Contains sulfites.

The history of flavored wine, or vermouth, is more than 2000 years old. The famous ancient physician Hippocrates found that if certain plants were steeped in wine made on the island of Crete, the drink developed several medicinal properties. The fame of this drink has spread across countries and lasted throughout the ages. The Martini tradition began more than 140 years ago in northwestern Italy, in the picturesque Piedmont mountains, when Messrs. Michel, Re, Agnelli and Baudino founded a company that started producing alcoholic beverages. The prerequisites for the Piedmont region were the nearby Alps, in the foothills of which medicinal herbs grow abundantly, and the taste of the dry white wines there, which goes well with medicinal herbs.
