The Franciacorta region is located in Italy, in the heart of Lombardy, just an hour (1h) from Milan, bordering Lake Iseo, and is known as Italy's best sparkling wine region! The soil of the Franciacorta DOCG is diverse, creating excellent conditions for growing a quality grape crop. Contadi Castaldi was established in 1987 and the winery owns 170 ha of vineyards. Since 2008, winemaker and CEO Gian Luca Uccelli has been leading the innovative direction of Contadi Castaldi.
