The Ron Abuelo “Finish Collection” is a unique series of 15-year-old rums that are finished in various carefully selected casks: Oloroso Sherry Cask, Napoleon Cognac Cask and Tawny Port Cask. The set includes three 20cl bottles: Oloroso Sherry Cask On the palate you can feel notes of citrus, roasted almonds and smoky wood, chocolate dipped raisins and sometimes nutty notes. Woody notes and lemon peel in the aroma. Roasted almonds can be felt in the aftertaste. Napoleon Cognac Cask For the final finishing of this rum, an oak cask from France, previously used in the production of Napoleon cognac, was used. The rum has a deep reddish amber color and the aroma is dominated by raisins, plums, toasted wood and cocoa. The taste is well balanced, followed by a long, deep and elegant aftertaste. Tawny Port Cask For the final finishing of this rum, a view of port wine was used, which gave the rum an excellent balance between sweetness and dry fruity notes. The rum has a deep reddish amber color and the aroma shows red berries, an intense woody note and dried fruits. The taste is soft and silky, with hints of spices, dark chocolate, dried fruits, vanilla and port wine. The rum has a very long aftertaste, in which woody notes and ripe figs set the tone.
