Old Tobago rum is named after the island of Tobago in the Caribbean. The island became known for the successful and extensive cultivation of sugar cane. Sugarcane growers became wealthy, and as a result the expression "as rich as a Tobago planter" was coined among the rich of London. Growers there made a significant contribution to the history of rum, which has been passed down to the present day. One of the most successful sugarcane growers was Sir William Henry, who lived in the Caribbean archipelago in the 18th century. Making rum became his greatest passion, and even now Old Tobago rum is made according to the original recipe he created. High-quality sugar cane molasses is used in the production of Spiced Rum. Rich natural vanilla is combined with natural flavors and various spices. The result is a well-balanced rum with a beautiful golden color and caramel, toffee and various spices give the tone in the taste.
