The soul of Flor de Caña is at the foot of the "San Cristobal" volcano, which in turn is the most active volcano in Nicaragua. Thanks to the active activity of San Cristobal, our sugar cane plantation gets its fertilizer from that very volcano. Soil enriched with volcanic ash and water rich in minerals are the most important part of our rum making formula.
