In Mexico, the term "Sangrita" means a spicy mixture of tomato juice and various fruit juices. Heinrich Riemerschmid got acquainted with this drink on a trip to Mexico and brought back a particularly delicious recipe. The drink was further refined and finally in 1965 Sangrita was introduced as the first drink of its kind in Germany. Since its launch, Sangrita has really triumphed in Germany and is still the market leader. Sangrita owes its great popularity not only to its unique taste, but also to its unique label design, with a characteristic prominent hat on the neck label. Sangita is vegan, alcohol-free, free of dyes and preservatives to ensure maximum juice content and no added fats.
