Combining their skills and drawing inspiration from it, winemaker, barrel maker and cognac master - Francis Nadeau, Jean-Marie Bernard and Baptiste Loiseau - created Rémy Martin Tercet cognac. Celebrating the exciting journey of craft cognac, this trio of masters began by selecting Tercet cognac grape wines. They are made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety in the recognized Fine Champagne areas, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. This cognac is designed to reflect the character of its creators, harmonious, aromatic and certainly different from anything Rémy Martin has created before. It is also a symbol of true friendship, of friends who joined forces for creative collaboration. It all started when Loiseau joined the house of Rémy Martin in 2007 and discovered several eaux-de-vies that were clean and expressively fruity. He shared his discoveries with Bernard and Nadeau so that together they could create a new cognac that differs slightly in tone from the classic characteristics of Rémy Martin cognacs. The project lasted ten years. It was carried out with only a few selected French oak barrels, each holding 350 liters. They were reserved for the eaux-de-vie, or water of life, from the 2009 harvest. Unlike many of the larger cognac houses, Rémy Martin still distills its cognacs with the lees in small copper stills. "We had to complete the process," explained Loiseau. "It was important to find the best casks and the right ratio of new wood to bring out the potential of this pure eaux-de-vie and shape its intensity. It was necessary to refine the eau-de-vie through aging in the casks without overwhelming them to emphasize their sour notes and tonality." The packaging of Tercet cognac shows the faces and signatures of the three masters, symbolizing the unity of their different skills. It is bottled at 42% ABV. The competition in the field of beverages, The Spirit Business, awarded Remy Martin Tercet cognac with a gold medal in 2023 and 2024. Color: clear, clean, bronze.
