At least 51% of the blend comes from Premier Cru. De Luze VSOP Fine Champagne cognac is aged for up to 12 years. The story of Cognac De Luze began with Alfred De Luze and his brother Louis-Philippe, both of whom worked in the wine and spirits industry in the US and Europe. Inspired by their success, Alfred decided in 1822 to found his own company, A. De Luze & Fils, which specialized in maturing and trading fine Bordeaux and Burgundy wines and traditional cognac eaux-de-vie. Gaining a lot of experience and going through difficulties, De Luze cognac house became a symbol of very high quality cognac. In 2006, the De Luze cognac house was bought by the Boinaud family, thanks to whose long traditions and skills the De Luze cognac story continues to this day. De Luze Cognac grapes come from the Grande and Petite Champagne areas of the Champagne region, two of the highest quality regions where Cognac grapes are grown to create Fine Champagne Cognacs.
