During the long maturation process, a complex Calvados with a darker amber color is formed, with a powerful but subtle aroma revealing woody and candied fruit notes. The well-balanced taste is characterized by woodiness, spiciness and fruitiness with nuances of nutmeg, quince, vanilla and coffee. An exceptionally long aftertaste brings out hints of fig.

Calvados Coquerel has been making wonderful apple brandy in Normandy, northwest France, since 1937. The name Calvados is only allowed to be used for apple brandy made in the Normandy region. On 04.03.1790, the apple-growing region in Normandy was named Calvados. Calvados Coquerel distillery was established in 1937. Calvados AOP in northwestern France. The Distillery is located near the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. It is a family business and today the distillery is managed by the innovative blend master Mr. Pierre Martin Neuhaus. Calvados Coquerel has its own orchards of apple trees and also buys apples from long-term partners with whom they have signed long-term contracts.
